Timber Equestrian Buildings

At Bulldog Sheds and Fencing we design and manufacture high quality, cost effective stables and working buildings including field shelters and hay stores.

We are committed to building stabling units to your individual specifications.  A quotation for standard loose stable boxes would include the following features:
  • Walls clad with 19mm x 125mmTongue & Groove shiplap boarding, pressure treated external timbers
  • 50mm x 100mm (2" x 4") timber framing
  • A pitch roof with 1.2m (4') overhang to protect stable doors to the front.
  • A stable door and frame complete with all necessary galvanised fittings and deep door capping to the bottom door.
  • 18mm thick kick boards fixed with galvanised nails to eaves height.  Decoration is available as an extra.
  • A high performance, heavy duty onduline roof.

Stable Doors & Frames for Refurbishment and Self Build

All our doors and frames are available for installation into brick or block.  The prices quoted here refer to a standard size, we will of course be happy to quote for your particular requirements.

  • Opening Size 1298mm x 2283mm, ex 100mm x 50mm vacuum pressure impregnated softwood frame.
  
  • Opening Size 984mm x 2056mm, ex 100mm x 50mm vacuum pressure impregnated softwood frame.
 

Stable Door:

   Tack Room Door
 

  • Complete with deep galvanised metal capping to the top of the lower door

  • Heavy Duty reversible hinges for each door section

  • Padbolt for the top door, and a padbolt, kickover catch and cabin hook for the bottom door.
  • The vacuum pressure treated external boarding is finished with a preservative stain.
  

  • Framed, ledged and braced door.

  • Flush on the inside and clad with tongue and groove pressure impregnated boarding to the outside.

  • The timber is finished with preservative stain.
  • Complete with five lever mortice lock.

NB: Timber sizes are sawn dimensions.  All timber used is planed and will therefore be slightly smaller.
